I think I may have underestimated your motors  - they looked a bit like they came out of a kid's toy car... But, hey! when you have burned out, I have a 3500kv going spare which is good for 60 amps on a 4.75 x 4.75, :P

Did I notice a hint that Jon was flying flat out?

Kevin, as you enter the container to get out the charging table, you have to negotiate your way past a portable 240 V generator with a 13 amp plug on it. You may need petrol.

Please take outside before starting.

I could do with my prop driver chamfering.

Don't know about the two I have had on order for a while now from HK, as they seem to have been shipped somewhere else.

Your motor looked nice but is about twice the price of the Turnigy as well as having a 3.2mm shaft (which I would have bent or broken by now). Also, it appeared to rev less than the Turnigy. This is probably due to its physical size...the Turnigy is bigger and will produce more torque, enabling it to continue delivering useful power when the smaller motor has given up.

I did receive two from HK, not too happy with them either, sloppy fit on the motor shaft. A lot of vibration even with only the adaptor on the motor due to the run out and, with a prop mounted, the poor model becomes a blur at top revs. I'll try balancing them as a pair. Anyone else suffered this problem?

The one I ordered from them first off was the first on the page with 4mm shaft.

The threaded part is not on the axis of the collett, hence will vibrate at some speeds. Seems to be rough a bit above half throttle but OK at full throttle. On the bench the plane vibrated a lot.

Before the first flight, I removed the collett with the heat from a soldering iron, and when I put it back it was still the same. The two I have ordered (here tomorrow) have grub screw attachment, making use of the key flat on the motor shaft. If the bore is a good fit, it might be better.

For tomorrow, I have used a 1/4" washer to space the prop off the driver.
