Ailerons now hinged, servo's fitted to the stabs and the landing gear mounted.
Tomorrow's jobs
1) Install the servos in the wings and make up the leads
2) Fit engine and exhausts
3) Start making the extension leads for the elevators and rudder

I will take some more pics tomorrow when I start making the leads

Sounds like you are making good progress Chris, will the MTW tuned pipes help with your lack of power at take off? I'm assuming you've gone with your original plan and pulled the servos and engine out of the Yak?

Don't think the pipes will help with that, but I have got a new reed block, reeds and carb diaphragm , plus all new reed block and carb gaskets. Hopefully that will sort it, oh and a new set of plugs

Extension leads made and braided for the tail, I used powerbox cable and crimps, using their crimping tool made this fairly quick and easy. Apart from setting up the throws that's the tail finished. Going to start making the leads for the wings now, while the wife has volunteered to go up B & Q to get some silicon so i can fit the landing gear cuffs :)

That took longer than I thought but the extension leads for the ailerons are now made and braided, also fitted the servos and control rods. Just got to set up the throws and the wings are finished :)

Didn't get much done this afternoon, took the 3W out of the Yak and then replaced the reed block with an Ali one, plus replaced all gaskets, then stripped and cleaned the carb, replaced the diaphragm and all gaskets and put in a new set of plugs for good measure.
Hopefully get the engine mounted and plumbed in tonight.

Engines in :woohoo:
Going to try it without the velocity stack to start with to save cutting the cowl, not really sure what it does anyway??
