Quick work so far chris. How are you going to do baffles in cowl ? Not easy job .yet to do mine.i know what to do but not sure easy way to achieve, especially if a close fit to cyclinder heads to be done.

Simon I just use an old bit of card to get the shape and size I want, then transfer that to some lite ply and epoxy in place

Starting to take shape now, the spinner will need to be repainted at some point as it is the wrong shade of red, but it's close enough for now

Are you going for a pull pull on rudder or servo in tail ?

I have put the rudder servo in the tail, but the 3W is a bit heavier than the DA . Might be worth checking the C of G before making a decision

First little issue, went to fit the tail wheel and the holes in the carbon skid do not line up with the blind nuts in the fuss, not a major problem will just have to elongate the holes in the skid, but to be honest they are a long way off :(

That's odd, mine was perfect, they have obviously changed something. Redrilling the carbon part shouldn't be an issue though.

The repair on mine is coming along, just slow going hand cutting the ply parts for the front end, will do a separate thread when I have time.

Must have been a Friday afternoon one, where the bolt goes through for the tail wheel should have been an 8mm hole but was only drilled to 6mm, like you say easy fix

Not much left to do now
Fit fuel dot
Fit switches and tidy up the wiring
Make the engine baffles
Silver solder the headers
Then check the C of G before locating the ignition battery

Apparently I have to tidy up before I do anything else
