Colin, as instructed in the Feb 9 post,I watched the space. Nothing happened so I gave up after two hours. Nipped down to the shed as the rain had stopped, glued and pinned the pieces of balsa and ply that I'd prepared on Saturday. I found the envelope that the Wot Knot plan came in. The postmark was 2006. The build started that year, and at the rate its going now, I'll not be finished this year, not unless I can find a fresh packet of enthusiasm, the old one ran out sometime last year.

At long last the model is finally ready for her maiden flight, pics attached.
I've fitted a tow hook so I'm planning a bungee launch off the ramp for the maiden flight,
then hand launches for subsequent flights.
Model weighs 2 1/4 Ibs, current draw of 50A giving 550W = 248 W per Ib with a wing loading
of 11 ozs per sq ft, so ample power with a light wing loading.
Motor is EFlite inrunner 3,200 kv turning a 6x4 prop, battery 3S 2,200 LiPo
Just waiting for a suitable weather day and off she will go.

Colin.

Let me know your plans for a maiden and I will bring up the launch gear. This thing might be a little faster than my Super Wing.

PS: Those 2200mah 3 cells would also fit nicely in a Sabre F86 ;)

Thanks Phil - Will post when I'm going - I've also have a Ripmax " Mustang " to maiden so need a good chucker for that too.
Still thinking about the MIG 15 but I'm already being told I have too many models, my 3S 2,200 LiPo's are 30/40C so may need
to upgrade since I'm pulling 23 C at 50 Amps !! - would then be ideal for a MIG.
Colin.

Colin, it isn't a case of "too many models", it simply boils down to the fact that you haven't got enough space for the models you have/want.
