Cowl removed from the vacuum bag. Peel ply removed. Foam and packing tape removed.

Pictures are in a random order because the forum s/ware is f*#?$ed

A quick update on progress over the past few days. Lots of little tasks have been completed and were not photographed but the Rubin is nearly ready for covering.

Elevators will be controlled with two mini servos in the tail. Rudder will be a closed loop.

I was planning to do some vacuum forming and spent a several hours making a vacuum former. But the frame warped as soon as it went into the oven...so that was a waste of time - although I do now have a sanding box which will come in useful.

So the canopy is now going to be a fibreglass one painted black. If I don't like it I will revert to sourcing a canopy later. I did a much better job covering the canopy in parcel tape because I cut it into narrow strips that are much easier to stretch and go around compound curves.
