I was thinking the same...Very bright light in the garden yesterday. I'll try to get another reading on an overcast day.

Don’t worry Mike, as it’s not IC powered as long as there isn't anything which would be damaged by being blown about it’s quite OK to do it indoors in a darkened room.

I'm probably teaching my Granny to suck eggs but I've found optical tachos are very sensitive to background light.


I used a piece of black silicone tubing as a 'lens hood' over the sensor on mine, and found it to be much more reliable.

I can't do anything with the cowl or the canopy until I can browse in Halfords to see what colours they have. So the model is now 'complete'. Also pictured against the Atlas to show how much bigger it is.
