Perhaps i should have quoted the paxolin is approx 3.27mm thick and the holes are drilled with No 51 !!

Making a rudder tiller that doesn't distort is a problem on a Stearman due to its slope. The first pic is from the parts catalogue.

I fabricated this from two pieces go 0.5mm stainless which i formed concave,( eg see last pic ) then silver soldiered the edges to create hollow arms

Fin and rudder finally complete. Had to add a lot of reinforcement to support the revised tiller.
