My Curare manual showed 3 sets of travel and expo. I used the indicated low and mid rates and ignored the third set which is virtually 3D. Yes, I believe full swing on rudder at least on the mid settings. Personally, on my low rates I rarely have to use a lot of full TX stick.

I can scan the relevant page from my manual if you wish Chris.

Thanks Phil, but I'm sure it's the same info as in the PDF manual that's available online.

Why is it that it's always the little things you don't think of that hold you back? Like the control horns I'm using, the screws used to join the two plates together are too short for the thickness of my control surfaces. And I don't have the right lenght in stock. The solder couplings that are supposed to have a 1.7mm hole, well out out 20 I managed to get 4 that would except the 1.6mm piano wire to the full depth, half have a step inside and the other half wouldn't even allow it in a mm... even with a chamfered end. So the aileron control rods will have to wait.

And on top of that, the Spektrum RX that when back to them for a health check after a 'incident' in my Extra and came back with a clean bill of health, seems less than healthy! I got it out plugged it in and noticed the satellite LED would blink every now and then when I was moving it around. I thought it was the cable so started wiggling it to make sure and on and off the LED would go. Powered down, powered up and now I can't get it to blink at all, sold light... But my faith in it has gone.

Sorry for the rant it's just been a very frustrating day.

The clevis are not filled with solder are they, can you drill them out with a 1/16th drill it.
I'm ready for maiden when you are.
John

I've just measured 52Amps using the 11x8.5 prop 660KV motor and the 3000mAh 6S battery (the battery is a year old and had a lot of fun flights in the legendary Wot4 RIP)

The battery is a 20C so I suspect the 52Amps is due to the limitation of the battery, unless it really is truly capable of 20C. I am using a different ESC so that might also have an affect.
