The clevis are not filled with solder are they, can you drill them out with a 1/16th drill it.
I'm ready for maiden when you are.
John

Thanks for the Maplins link John, I'll probably pick that up next week.

And don't wait for me before you maiden, I'm not expecting to be ready now until the end of the week, so if the weather is looking favorable go for it.

Do you have a ready to fly weight for your model?

Not saying on the grounds it might incriminate me but it's a little heavier than yours Mike

Chris I'm in no hurry to fly the longer I put it off the longer it stays in one piece anyway it's up to Mike when he's available.

I have just changed my prop on the 660kv motor in the Curare from 11x10 to a 11x8.5 today. I know it was a bit windy today so throttle levels may be more, but I noticed no difference personally in performance although the battery appears to have more left in it now after flying for about the same amount of time as I did before. I have not had the clamp meter on it yet before you ask. ;)

John's model flew very well. It was using an 11x7 prop so it was a little sedade, but in many ways a perfect follow on model. You just need to get your white card and then practice those long and low approaches

Nice work, always a great feeling when your model takes to the air for the first time. I still get the same buzz after nearly 50 years of building.
Sooooooo many people miss out on the experience of building your own model, so come on lads get building, we have enough experienced members on the forum to cover every aspect. B)
