I really pushed the boat out when purchasing my servos. - They have survived one flight so far but only time will tell - and they are available at a whorehouse (sorry warehouse) near you !! www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__2476...2_2kg_0_10s_12g.html

My flappy bits are fixed with strips of transparent solartex top / bottom prior to covering. like flying pete , I have also used this method on Petrol powered a/c as recommended on ALL Glens early aerobats. When i decked my big extra during a precision approach by hitting a fence post - the control surfaces remained intacked . B_ _ _ _ _ _ d !

Don't want to be too critical Dave but I'm not sure you will see you model in those colours on a dull day. Watching mikes fly on sat it covers the ground pretty fast and deciding which way up it is quite a challenge. Make the fins a bright colour to give yourself a chance !!

To be honest, Simon, I cannot see the colour on mine when it's beyond the field. So I don't think Dave's choice of colour will be an issue.

BTW, Dave, when are you back? We'll try not to crash so we can arrange a date for all 11 to be at Cashmoor on the same day.

4.75 x 4.75 props from HK

I borrowed one of these from PhilF on Saturday and the performance was good, so I've just ordered sixteen 4.75x4.75 props from HK. The unit price is $1.23 for two and with shipping they will work out at about 60p each compared to genuine APC props at about £2 each. I'm happy to sell them on to anyone who needs one.

Unfortunately, they don't do the 4.7x4.2 "formation" prop but these are available in genuine APC nylon from Robotbirds at £1.85 plus shipping. Perhaps someone else will order a bunch of these for the group?
