Phil

I have used what sounds like the same stuff to baffle my 104 Extra, white gloss card with foam infill. Has worked perfectly, heat has not been an issue at all.

I used Gorilla glue to fix it, which has held up very well.

I thought it might be the same stuff you used. It came out of a box a long time ago and I just kept it in the odds n sods drawer. I think it might have been the PC21 possibly. I will have a go with it then. Maybe paint some cylinders on it......;)

I assume you cut it to shape and use Gorilla where it touches the GRP cowl?

Yes, but I don't know how much you are cutting away, I would think you would need a reasonable amount of contact area, otherwise the vibration will loosen it fairly quickly

Slope soaring day tomorrow so spent today assembling the Pitts fully (as would have to be done at the field). A few niggles with the interplane strut bolts though. After the run up I then spent the afternoon cutting a slot in the lower cowl directly in front of the cylinder head. Unfortunately the air scoop can not be fitted. :( Exhaust had a slight blow (oil stains appearing) so cleaned up the mating surfaces and used high temp silicon copper to seal it. Throttle curve re-adjusted for a linear feel. Set up the elevators as they were not operating together - a few turns on the control rods sorted that out. Just the ailerons to check now.. Once I am happy with everything I will make up some wing wires for scale effect in the near future.

If you got 5 mins spare watch the video...;)
