BVM Mig.15

Looking at the colour scheme,doesn't look like there is much chance of seeing it flying overhead as everything looks light blue! Is there anything to make it visible from the ground ?

Managed a bit of time on the mig. The slots for the servo Arms need cutting on the Elevators and fin, also slot for the carbon horns.
I thought I'd mention the isopropyl alcohol I use, always handy to have when using epoxy, hysol etc etc for emergency cleaning of airframe and hands of any unwanted epoxy, it also makes a good degreaser prior to gluing plastic or f/glass parts.

Can't do much more on the mig as I am still waiting for the the hysol nozzles to arrive from China, I will give it a few more days and if still no joy will find another source. I will post some pics later of the speed brake installation.

First job is to make up a left and right offset cranked hinge from the supplied parts and the door back stops from f/glass sheet.
The supplied doors are cut out of the carbon sheet blanks and are 1/16 oversize.
Next up is to sand in the doors so we have a 1/32nd gap on three sides but on the hinge side needs to be nearer 1/16.
The inside of the fuzz around the apertures are scratched up with some 80 grit. Using slow set zap glue the hinges making sure you have a 1/16 gap from hinge pads to the leading edge allowing the hinge to fold back,also zap glue the f/g back stops.
Scuff up the hinge pads and a small drop of zap on the pads lay the door in the apertures and tape in position making sure you keep a nice 1/32nd gap on three sides. Once set open the door and using the ply angle gauge to check we have the correct door deflection.
Once happy apply hysol around the hinge pads on the inside of the door. Some of you who are paying attention will notice the doors are the wrong colour and John is on the case to source some paint so that I can spray them to match.
