I like the look of these new servo less retracts, powered by their own 2 cell lipo and built in overload cut off incase they get stuck

My hurricane is no more.I've had time to get my head together and firstly thank everyone for helping in finding the model and then putting the bits in a bin bag.
Having time to think what went wrong, I allowed the starboard wing to stall and resulted in a spin with no chance of recovery. At the time my thoughts were packing this stupid hobby in,but sod it it's still better than watching coronation Street B)

Yep, I think your analysis was right Pete, looking through the camera everything was going well until that last turn which was quite tight on the elevator. Might be photos of the stall and certainly plenty of good ones pre-stall on Jon's camera. Shame to see such a great model go in. Don't give up, it's rare to see a proper scale built up model at the field and I for one would love to see more of your skills.

So sorry to hear that model is written off . Only saw it on the ground but looked great. I'm sure you'll recover with a bit of time.

It was heartbreaking to see the Hurricane go in yesterday, it was impossible to know what to say to you Pete, but it was good to see a little positivity return just before you left for home.

I think your analysis is spot on, you did a steep turn and as soon as you pulled the elevator the right wing went, a too aggressive elevator application at lowish speed. Because the nose dropped so far, there was nothing you could have done to recover at the height you were at.

I am glad that given a bit of time to reflect you seem fairly philosophical about it, lesson learnt, time to move on. As others have also said, we are all looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. It was a real privilege for me to be able to do the test flights of the model.

I haven't had a chance to go through the photos that John took yesterday, but I will soon and get some up on the forum.
