Your wing looks really nice, Chris. You must be pleased with it so far?

Ohhh suits you sir. :P

Thanks for the inspiration Alan, and as much as I'd like to follow your trend in [strike]garish[/strike] tasteful 80's colour schemes, I think one pink plane on the flight line is plenty, and you beat me to it. I'll just have to console myself with the Blues, whites, and reds.

I wonder if Phil will cover his Atlas in a [strike]beige[/strike] I mean magnolia, being that he is a gentleman of a certain generation that can appreciate the subtle shades.

The other wing is being glued now, so it's beginning to feel like things are coming together, the foam cores being so well cut certainly has helped. :)

I'll have you know, young Sir, that my latest paint job was a kitchen in Olive Drab. I did not get permission for roundals, but I do have a Mk XI spitfire in the display cabinet.

I've just mocked up the tail fin to see if the lines are looking right.

and I remembered that it was at this stage in Mike's build that he chose to weight it

...so I thought I'd do the same, Mike's weighed in at 465g, mine is heavier at 470g, as you can imagine I was distraught that mine should be so heavy, but then I spied that Mike had not put the back half of his servo tray in, so I removed mine and weighed it again.

Chris, why the concern over 5 grams? It is not an indoor flyer! There could be no end of factors affecting weight. Density of balsa, amount of glue, humidity content of balsa.... number of 3 inch nails...

I have just added 65 grams of Lipo to my Curare for receiver/servos and my doubling up of fuselage items, tons of CA medium and I am not concerned, just a pain to adjust the CG again with so little space to move about. (Should've gone IC ;) ) It still comes out less than 2.4 kgs fully loaded.

You've completely missed the point, Phil! Chris is showing that both models weigh 'exactly' the same.
