Nearly finished the fus. Here is my alternative way of pulling the nose in. 4" G-Cramps and some wood. Also, the Ross-Coupe motor compartment.

The wings are tricky. I don't use superglue, so stick (pun) with white glue. The problem here is that you have to do it a bit at a time. Assembling the composite ribs is easy. Gluing them to the roughened aly tubes is too, except I had one upside down and had to rip it apart quick. Result, a bent aly tube with an end that is part closed. Just need a steel rod that fits closely inside and tap it a few times with a hammer. They are very soft so be warned.

This proved an ideal weight for holding down on the F18 packers. Belonged to mi Grandma.

I like Phil's approach to ironing out the problem but what you need is something which applies its force across the whole area rather than locally. For years I've kept copies of yellow pages. They are heavy, large and flexible conforming perfectly to the profile and a pile of them do a perfect job, especially when sheeting wings.

PS yell.com doesn't work at all

Can anyone/everyone who has started building their models bring them to the meeting on Friday. After Mike's talk it would be interesting to see how are progressing and to ask/answer questions about the snags and solutions.

Mine is finished and will bring along on Friday - I would appreciate if somebody could bring along some weigh scales as mine are suspect (i hope )
i would be interested to compare my max gross hand launch weight (complete with proposed full tank of electrolyte)
