Kevin, please save the last prop for me.

Dave. I first of all used pan heads with a washer. Then I found the amount of shaft in the collett was a bit short, so I replaced the screws with some CSNK headed ones, and used lock tite to hold them in the CSNK holes in the rear bulkhead. I had in fact added a sheet of 1/32" ply outside the rear bulkhead at build time so the CSNK is in that thickness, so actual bulkhead not compromised. The heads are pretty well flush, so more grip on the shaft. Leaving out the 1/32" ply, and with the CSNK heads a bit proud, you will still gain on the shaft overlap

The surprise to me was no data sheet with ESC or motor.

Sign of the times Phil, it seems to be more common now that you are expected to download the instructions from a website :(

There is no data file for the motor apart from what is on screen. Power seems to be 660 W based on a customer test.

660Watts? On three cells? That would equate to an input power of 59amps  If you are using the motors that I think you are I would suggest that half that wattage figure would nearer.

I measured 57A last weekend, Phil. I think you underestimate the motor we have. Now, I'm not suggesting that they will last forever at this power level, but all flights so far have resulted in cool motors on landing. Use of throttle in flight will obviously help...Jon!

Loadsanewpropsarrived - But they foul on my prop driver - Solution is to fit a spacing washer or in my case, turn a chamfer on the prop driver. However the current draw is down to 32 A which will result in longer flight times to suit the formation flying.
PS - If any body wants their prop driver chamfering, i have a small suitcase sized lathe <500watts which i can bring to cashmoor IF somebody has a portable generator with a 13amp socket.
