Hi Guys - Am I missing something here, why not drill the rudder arm out at 40mm to match the servo arm ?
Is it perhaps to do with precise rudder movement ?

Colin

Alas Colin, I've epoxied in the horns into the rudder which is glued onto the fuselage so any drilling would be fraught with danger now.

I have dead-center tool that would safely do the drilling job Chris .. also a set of pin-vices for small drills.

Thanks John,

I didn't see your post until after I'd dived off in a different direction. Being a total cheapskate, I decided to go the DIY route

With servos with metal output shafts, do you loctite the arm retaining screw, or is the grippy washer enough?

By the what Jon & Chris, the jig for enlarging the hole in the tail worked well, 4.5 hours to design it, build it and test it.

Okay, I used masking tape, a steel ruler and a scalpel, but the jig would have been more precise!
