Next up are the three under nose guns. I have sanded them to shape so they are a perfect fit to the belly of the fuzz and added the alloy barrels to the guns ready to be glued after I have painted them. Tomorrow I will offer the guns to the fuzz and very very carefully etch the outline of the guns to give a key for the hysol.

Mig Update.....
With the couple of problems Iv had lately the mig is a bit behind schedule and my other projects also, but I am starting to get back into full flow.
The mig is not far away from completion but all the jobs left are fiddly time consuming.
I now have the paint so soon as the weather is kind to me I can get all the painting done. I'm waiting for some replacement servos, as the first batch I ordered did not centre properly and it turns out the whole batch was faulty. Turbine and exhaust are fitted, air tanks and lines etc need to go in and Rx and gyros and wiring to finish and that's about. B)

Pete - Pleased to see you back in action, MIG looking really good.
Servos - interesting that top end products can be faulty , people using cheaper servos on quality airframes have taken some flack on this forum.

Fantastic work Pete, I will stand up a few more of those well-deserved beers when the job is finished.
I will put in a lot more turbine practice on the Hunter and Boomer before I commit myself to flying the pride of the fleet.
I think I will also de-risk my new Rx and the Gyro on a different model before installing.
I am thinking of fitting 2 off lightweight LiFE batteries as the Futaba R7018SB Rx has powersafe dual inputs (i.e it doesn't need a power-box switch or equivalent). Will also go lightweight on turbine battery unless some ballast is needed for C.of.G.

I'm not going to start a servo war debate so will not mention what make. I will say that I have used the certain manufacturer for years with no problems, and any item which is made in the numbers that servos are you will occasionally have a duff batch. At least when you buy a quality product the customer support is excellent.
