Guns taped in position and ready to glue to the fuzz . I've decided not to glue them yet as I can see myself knocking them off whilst working on the fuzz. Next up is fitting the canopy locating pins and canopy latch, also the locating fittings to the fuzz and canopy.

Another really tricky job where you only get one chance to get it right. The canopy hatch side alignment tabs consist of 3 per side half moon f/glass discs. The discs are installed one at a time in the canopy and the position transferred to the fuzz flange and cut with a dremel cutting disc and the slot is cleaned up with perma - grit FXT 103 for a perfect fit. Once all six have been done we have a perfect fitting canopy. A slot is cut on the rear top of the canopy with a1/6" carbide cutter for the canopy latch. Fit the canopy and mark the point with some black paint and transfer mark on rear fuzz flange. Drill a 1/6"
hole and open up with a a kneedle file for a perfect fit, job done.

An absolutely excellent job your doing there Pete. :) Especially when there is no allowance for errors and even more so because it is JRI's mega bucks toy.

Go easy on the beers though - some pics are a bit shaky

Going off subject a little ;) I was perusing the video library and noticed clips of a Venom and a Hunter with your name on 'em.

Footnote: Video library has an issue (thanks Google/Youtube) so having to redo the page manually. :(

Thanks Phil B) Yes a fair bit of pressure when taking the dremel to a model like this especially when it's not mine, but that is the last bit of cutting finished. Saying that I do love living on the edge and concentration level's at 150% very satisfying though and really enjoying the Mig.
It's the sort of model where you can't have a beer or whisky on the go while you are building, I always have a beer at the end of the building session with this one. Over the years I have made some horrible mistakes on model's under the influence :(
The 200+ parts I had at the start have gone down to about 10 so Really making some progress now.

Morning Peeps.
Didn't do anything on the mig last week as I was looking after my local model shop for the owner.
Time to get all the painting done while the weather is good and then I can go for the final installation to finish the mig. The wheel bay's, inside gear doors, air brakes and flap bay's will be sprayed matt green. The under wing tanks will be blue and the outer side of the air brakes blue /sand. The pic shows the wing tanks being primed

Tanks ready for finish coat. John wanted the nose ring re-painted in red in proper mig fashion so this has had the primer treatment ready for red top coat
