I wondered that and bought a pair of Derjet Vampire tanks and the answer is no. This being a wooden model rather than composite like Derjet all the formers and stringers and the inlet manifold take up too much space. If you look closely at the picture of Pete framed by the booms you can see the redundant tanks on top of a cupboard (see clipping).

Oooh, does that mean we now get a thread on how to form your own fuel tanks?
Pink foam shaped followed by kevlar/glass/epoxy??

Surely you could have these done by the end of today?

Great pic's David!
I am really pleased with the way she has turned out.Glad we went for the glass cloth finish, even though it was a long slog well worh the effort,and all my models will be finished in this way in the future.
Can't wait to see the vampire take to the sky not sure who will be the most nervous ?
