I went for a scheme that will show the difference between the top and the bottom, unlike the Blue Angel! Although I don't enjoy covering, I'm pleased with the results

Went elsewhere in the end

Blimey Mike, you have left the group well behind. Hopefully weather is reasonable for weekend and a maiden. Will try and get up for some photo shoots (forthcoming magazine feature)

To be fair to the others, I did have a head start...and the benefit of having built the Blue Angel last year meant I had already honed a few long-lost skills. I also got a set of Jetcraft retract before some trucker in Christchurch bought the last set on the planet!

I had the second from last set of retracts. You must have got the last set ever so now Chris not wanting to point the blame says he is going to have to fit HK retracts cheapies. The latter I hope stand up to the test!

Looks a bit "breezy" for weekend.

Well, I put an exorbitant amount of cash into my servos compared to Mike, and he's put even more into his retracts, he will only feel the benefit in taking off and landing, I'll feel the benefit in the air ;-) but will no doubt get a little anxious when near terra firma, but that's normal for me anyway!

If we both made wise choices we could have had the retracts and all servos for less than £25

With temperatures of 6 degrees or less that is pretty cold when your wearing a skirt and no tights. XC forecasts 16 mph so you must have picked a more favourable forecast.;)

16mph is half the forcasted figure that I flew in last weekend. Up and down the field is the main feature to look for, not the speed.

Just a suggestion for you, Phil. If you're going to wear a skirt then tights are a must at this time of year

Just for nostalgia - Do you understand German? Matts stuff is now in a museum! I like the biplane. I suppose the modern version would be the Miss Wind?
