That's a neat fairing Phil. In the days when I flew P.30 rubber models, I used rolled sheet for the fuselages. I found (by accident) that if you brush on a couple of coats of dope on the inside face of the curve, the sheet can be rolled quite tightly after soaking, and no sign of splitting either.

I have found by experience that the balsa sheet needs to really wet - no rushing it.;) With tight rolled small balsa jobs I have make three to just get two. (See "really needs to be wet") :lol: The fairings are covered now and fitted. Now have to surf for some suitable spats from a spare parts supply shop. No rush though is there.

Got out on my field today and ran up these three. All started on first swing from cold (unlike gassers :whistle: )
