Dug out the wing which was in Art Scholls livery which I did many many years ago. Time has taken it's toll - the strips were peeling off and the base covering was lifting. Oh well, complete strip off then. I remember when I bought this Chippy it was designed for the old fashioned centre servo idea using a bell crank for the ailerons. I remember now that I modified it for servo per aileron. It must have been a long time go because the servos are Futaba 3003..... I have repaired the hole in the top surface next to the fuselage. I have also cut off the wing tips so it will now be known as a "clipped wing" chipmunk. On the downside I was only over Probuild only a few days ago for some bits and Oracover but looks like another trip shortly, will be running out White again. While the wing is open I am mulling over whether to install position lights/strobes.

Phil Ford wrote: Thanks Jon. One of them might do the job. Where can I take a look at them to see if they will fit with out me hacking the cowl to bits.

Hi Phil

I have on of the Saito 82's at home at the moment, you're welcome to borrow it to see how it fits if you like. I'll be around all weekend if you want to pick it up
