Wimborne MAC Scale Day 2016. Re-maiden flight of John Ireland's Hawker Hunter. Previously it had an issue with landing gear collapse but now sorted. It flew magnificently and is quite fast with ample power. Fuel load is 4 litres which gives good flight times. Flaps definitely needed and used as you will see in the movie.

Filmed at Bygone Days 2015. Bygone Days has been held for 25 years with proceeds going to local charities. Model aircraft displays are also put on by WimborneMAC and Salisbury MFC. The event is held where once RAF Ibsley was located during WWII. Full size aircraft also make a visit at this event including Spitfires, Harvards, Sopwith Camels, Swip Duo Team.
Lauren Richardson became British female aerobatic champion for 2012. The following year she gained her authorisation to fly displays.
Bygone Days is no longer held as of 2015 but held in memories for many of the thousands of visitors who enjoyed the weekends.

Wimborne MAC member Jon Tappin giving his Curare pattern plane a flight after some mods. This model has retracts, tuned pipe and 55 glow motor. Jon built this classic pattern plane for a review for RCME. Up until this time it had mainly been forgotten. This plane rekindled the love for pattern planes at the Club.
Update 2021: These ARFs are still available but the price really has rocketed since this model and my Curare E back in 2016. In fact to buy it now from the dealers in Austria allowing for retracts, engine or motor, servos and ancilliaries would make it virtually a £1000, 60 size plane!
