As I have the fuzz on the bench a good time to cut the cooling slots on the bottom of the wing fillet. Marked the slots using the paper template, stitch drill and Cleaned up using flat and round files.

Well BVM! You cannot supply the paint codes? Because the colour was just randomly sourced? If they were really interested they could give John the manufacturer contact info who "might" be willing to give the colour codes used to make the mixes with known paint makers here.

If only a small quantity, for instance two aerosol cans worth, (approx 500ml would it not be a problem for shipment by the men in brown or DHL.

Of course you could take a sample to the local Uni and get them to Spectrum Analyse it.

Yes it's a shame John can't source from BVM, especially when I only need a very small amount as I will be using it in a air brush.

So, what options left? Trial n Error with acrylics? White, grey and blue. The Sand colour would be easier to match surely.

Turbine by-pass ready to fit in the fuzz, mounting lugs reinforced with 1/4 ply. I have drilled a 1/8 hole in the bottom to allow fuel to drain out incase of a spillage or leak.

Tomorrow I will run through the preparation and fitting of the inner and outer tail pipes. Whilst on the subject of tail pipes I thought it might be of interest to the non jet members to explain a bit more. As you can imagine the exhaust on a jet gets bloody hot so the normal thing to do is to use an inner and outer pipe called a twin wall which is far more safer than a single wall. Basically the inner pipe is thicker gauge and has corrugated rings to stand the outer thinner pipe away to allow cooling air to circulate between the two keeping the pipe cooler. On the turbine end of the pipes you have mounting lugs which are screwed to the airframe /by-pass to stop them moving.Hope the pics help explain!!
