That cavernous ;) fuselage is taking shape nicely Mike.

My build is currently stalled as I await a few bits in the post for my building jig. I figure I'm likely to make a few planes and so might as well build it now rather than come up with a temporary aid that will get me though. This does have the advantage that I can sit back and see how Mike plans to get the motor back in now that it's all nicely sealed off, I suspect it will be a bit of careful scalpel work.

You wish! ;) These things are pretty tight getting big fingers and the hardware into.

When I saw Mike on Sunday at the field, he kept referring to the cavernous nature of the fuselage, I think it might be a fraction wider than his Blue Angel ;)

So good of you to provide a home for the Kitti's hog-nosed bat Mike.

I've not touched the Atlas, but have roped my dad in to help with my Fuselage Building jig, I like hand tools he likes noisy tools, and as a router was needed, so was he  It's always interesting as he seems to work in both imperial and metric, often at the same time and not always about the thing you're currently measuring, so it's always entertaining :pinch: Anyway, here's how things stand at the end of play today:

If anyone's interested the orange track is 4 feet long and the base board 1.5 meters.

Nice work Chris, your clamps look a bit more substantial than the waffy plastic ones SLEC provide in their jig. Just be careful how you apply glue when building the fuselage, especially thin cyano!
