WMAC Group build - Impressivo

In response to Toms earlier post RE launch systems I don't think there are any issues regarding their use as long as they are safe for everyone else nearby and other pilots are aware of it being used.

Just wondered how everybody is progressing with their build with a view to a Mass Launch Date. This Sunday is forecast to be flyable !

Mine will be finished today.

Any views on using an AR 600 Spektrum receiver. Easier to fit than the AR7000 I had intended to use.

The 600 is full range, it says here. :whistle:

AR600 will be fine Phil. Just one long antenna and a stubby one to hide away. Although I tend to put the long one pointing downwards or close to underside, seeing as you will be virtually flying above you.................Usually :lol:

Mine (one one you saw test flown) was with an AR 600 - I admit there were short periods when the model looked like it was not being controlled but I can assure you that all deviations from a normal flight path were due to erroneous Tx inputs.

I was hoping to have mine ready for tomorrow (Sunday) but illness and difficulty sourcing covering film/trim means it won't be ready now.

Got up this morning planning to do a bit of covering, problem is it turned out I did some covering but it was to my shed roof as I found the original felt lying in the back garden when I looked out this morning

What colour scheme did you go for ?

Well Jon, now you've passed your Roofing Felt Test, these folks just down the road from me could do with your help to repair their shed roofs - Once they've rebuilt the brick walls and cast a new concrete roof !

Jon, change of mood, nobody picked up on that beautiful Curare of Hanno Prettner's circa 1977 if I'm not mistaken. Now those were the days when there were no computer radios, only slider trims and you had to set everything up mechanically, no electronic tricks. I'm not even sure whether 35 MHz radios were about, I was still flying 27 MHz. You'll remember those days, launch and hope some twerp of a truck driver was not calling Rubber Duck on Citizen's Band, and none of your mates switched onto your channel while you were up. :woohoo:

Hope to get my old Wolfgang Matt's Super Star back in the air this year, built 1977/8, still a retro man me, even then with electric (servo activated) retracts. Those were the days when the radios sorted out the men form the boys, you didn't cry when shot down, just used of few of those excellent four letter words and got out the trusty string bag. :evil: ........MFA Chevron, Gangster, Bullet et al.
