The only thing about the electric version if you go with the recommended motor is that you quite literally have to take a hammer to it!

This version does have a hatch now for battery insertion. The battery size is limited mainly by the width of the "tank area". Also the weight on average is increased by 300 gms using electric. When I get round to assembling it, I will be deciding on motive power but I am leaning towards using the OS55AX extracted from the Cherokee. Plus I only need a Genesis pipe. You'll know when the thread moves to a category... ;)

Phil

If it helps your decision, here is a link to a review using an electric set up.

Jon, I had already read that review on Sussex. It was that review that made me plump for the Curare. ;)

How is the tuned pipe located because I assume you have to slide the wing under?

I would be grateful for your review if you could scan it up. I really fancy noise n oil  but somehow electric gives less flight time but it is simpler in use. Decisions decisions :(

As you wish!

Pipe is secured under the wing on a supplied bracket with a cable tie, I leave the pipe attached to the silicon joiner when the wing is off.

Part one of the review, the build (assembly :) )
