Managed to get a bit more done tonight, first job was to cut (bodge) a groove in both wing halves to accept the wing tube. I used a little bit of 5 minute epoxy to hold the tube in place, I then used some white glue to join the two wing halves together, and a bit of thin CA to tack them in place while the glue dried.
I then added the bottom piece of the wing and glued in the ribs. Final job was to glue on the ply wing root. Just needs a good sanding and one wing is done

Chris, I'm surprised you didn't use a Granny's Tooth for that job ;) Nice scissors by the way, I've always thought you probably favour floral patterns in the privacy of your own home.

Chris73...I don't think it will make any difference, but the leading edge wing halves have a top and a bottom cutout pattern that is different. You've joined the same pattern together so you have lost that criss-cross effect. I doubt that this will affect the strength, but it might mean you have one wing heavier than the other, so make sure you check the lateral balance before flying.

Doh, I am sure it will fine

I will sand the leading edge and check i still have enough strength, if need be i can always add another few cross pieces in the holes

Thanks for the heads up though, I will finish both wings and then weigh them
