Just spotted this for sale on the BMFA website - Vailly "Typhoon" powered by DA85.

Kevin, before you put the Typhoon into the air you might want to watch this VERY interesting documentary of the Typhoon. You think you have problems! :lol:

In the end though the Typhoon would prove it's worth and rip up ground targets exceptionally well. Ugly looking thing though.

Funny you should mention that member of the fleet - After many weeks of diversion for "Other Projects" its just returned to my workbench 1 hr ago

Work progressing - The previous owner built the model using more channels than my DSX9 so i've had to combine some functions.

Landing lights -
Ive broken into the lights power and fitted micro switches on each flap servo operated by a disc fitted on the backside of the servo arm. They can be adjusted so that when the flaps are not fully retracted the port light switches on and when the flaps are > 50% the STBD light switches on. This will provide a visual indication of adverse flap setting.

Ive paralled the choke servo and Opto ignition switch

Operated by a 3 position switch, i've adjusted the geometry of the choke servo to provide
pos 1 - Choke ON - ignition OFF
pos 2 - Choke 90% ON - ignition ON
pos 3 - Choke OFF - ignition ON
