Really sorry to see that Chris, that really was a lovely model, you made a great job of it for a first time scratch build as well. I know your pain, been there many times over the years.

It hurts even more because you created it from a plan and a pile of wood!

Don't be too down hearted, it taught you a lot and no doubt gave you a lot of pleasure. We take a risk every time the wheels leave the ground I'm afraid in this hobby.

Thanks for your comments, it's just one of those things, and as Jon pointed out I did learn a heck of a lot putting it together, and it's been a great plane to fly, I will miss it, maybe even a little more than the Wot4!

What exactly were you trying to demonstrate Chris? and did you climb the tree to get it down?

That's fabulous Chris. When did this happen? and why is it not in the stories of stupidity?

Clearly I was demonstrating what you shouldn't do

A couple of the members managed to get it down for me

Alan, this was a couple of weekends ago at the IMAC training weekend

Is that your Demonstrator Edge? It looks relatively intact in the tree, did you manage to get it down without further damage?. I've see planes survive a tree encounter only to be destroyed during the recovery.
