Hi Kevin - Good to see Stearman is back on the bench.
Look forward to seeing the  progress.
My " longest" build was 15 years, Spit from a plan.
Catch up soon.
Regards
Colin

Considered how i would attach the windscreens after painting so come up with this effective solution.

1. lay up some glass cloth on a backing sheet to match the fuselage profile

2. Bond the windshields to the moulding and finish to size - they can then be painted off the model

3. II'll make some predefined locations so they can be cleanly fixed after painting

Ive previously covered the swivels (some years ago)
Ive reduced to clevis lengths by annealing , re-drilling using a jig, cutting off and re-shaping.
The rigging wires are terminated by silver soldering an M2 screw to fit the clevis using SS band from Mick Reeves models

I will upgrade the panel pins with proper nuts and bolts

A few interruptions by the head gardener this week but finally silver brazed all the rigging straps. Fabrication started by sawing the full depth of a cheese head M2 screw and a V slot ground in the strap. Flux applied and screw inserted into 2mm hole in a fire brick for brazing.
